Executive coaching in Turkish in the Middle East and the Gulf
An impartial space of your own to think in Turkish, while leading amid different cultures, high expectations and a fast-changing business agenda.
Leading in the region
Every country and city in the region has its own business culture. Even so, many executives working in global or multinational organisations here lead amid teams from different cultures, expectations between headquarters and the region, and fast-changing priorities. This diversity is a great richness; coaching gives you space to step back from the intensity and look at your own approach.
I know this region from inside business life
In my years in leadership, I was responsible for the Near East and Gulf markets as well as Türkiye, working between headquarters in Europe and the markets in the region. What struck me most while working with business partners in the region was how people from very different countries and working cultures came together in the same business environment, and how open that environment was to new ideas. This experience helps me understand the context of the agenda you bring; the direction is always yours to set.
Thinking in Turkish
In global business, working in English is part of everyday life. Yet sometimes we think most comfortably and with the greatest nuance about an important decision, or about our own future, in the language that feels closest to us. Coaching in Turkish can also give you space to look more closely at thoughts you have simplified, or have not quite been able to express, in a second language.
You bring the agenda
Some of the topics you might explore in coaching:
- Building a shared ground for working and communicating in a multicultural team
- Developing your own leadership style amid different understandings of authority and communication
- Being effective between the regional operation and global headquarters
- Setting your priorities and boundaries in a fast-changing market
- Adapting to a new country and a new role at the same time
- The next step in your career: staying in the region, moving to another country or returning to Türkiye
How we work
Every process begins with a free online introductory call of about 45 minutes; it is not a coaching session, but a conversation in which we decide together whether working together is the right fit. Sessions are online and scheduled according to your local time; meeting in person can also be considered. Turkish; English is also possible. I work in line with the ICF and EMCC Global codes of ethics.
If you would like to take a step back and look at your leadership experience in the region, we can begin with a short introductory call.
